FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OMAHA, Neb. – (April 2023) – Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise experiencing record-breaking growth, continues its expansion throughout the U.S. by bringing its world-class drive-thru coffee kiosk to Anna, Texas.
The expansion into the small town 45-minutes north of Dallas is the result of a franchise agreement signed by life partners Jesse Koontz and Toni Siprut. The franchisees previously signed for five locations to be built in Arlington Heights, Prospect Heights, Niles, Des Plaines, Morton Grove, and Glenview, Illinois.
Koontz and Siprut, longtime franchisees with another quick service restaurant brand, decided they wanted to diversify into a smaller franchise where it would be possible to own both the land and the building. “I’d gone to a franchise convention and had been on a panel with a guy from Scooter’s Coffee, so I reached out to him,” said Koontz. “I was researching three other concepts at the time, but Scooter’s Coffee really stood out.”
Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and features its signature drink, the CarameliciousÒ. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee, and Cold Brew & Cream.
According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60% of Americans drank coffee in the past day. That’s more than those reported to have been drinking tea, juice, soda, or even tap water! And 28% people reported buying coffee at a coffee shop or restaurant in the past day — a number that’s almost back to pre-pandemic levels. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, has boomed during the pandemic, giving customers a way to get a delicious beverage while staying socially distant. Scooter’s Coffee kiosks, with the Brand Promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast! ®” are helping Americans stay caffeinated and safe while providing high-quality products with a smile.
“I understand the franchise process, and what Scooter’s Coffee does is unique,” said Koontz. “They have streamlined the process to take out a lot of the guesswork for new franchisees. They have someone helping you every step of the way, from the time you sign the paperwork, until your store is up and running. It’s absolutely amazing. Our ultimate goal is owning 20 or 30 locations – opening three or four a year.”
“We’re very excited to have Jesse Koontz and Toni Siprut as Scooter’s Coffee Franchisees,” said Kelly Crummer, Scooter’s Coffee Senior Director of Franchise Recruitment. “With their background in franchising, I know they’ll be successful representing our brand in both Texas and Illinois.”
