Existing Franchises Partner to Sign another Agreement with National Coffee Brand
OMAHA, Neb. – (December 2021) – Scooter’s Coffee®, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise that is experiencing record-breaking growth, is continuing its effort to grow its presence throughout the United States by bringing its world-class drive-thru coffee locations to Perry, Iowa.
Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee and Cold Brew & Cream.
The expansion into the small-town northwest of Des Moines is the result of an additional agreement signed by existing franchisees Troy and Kay Bauer, and Stan Eilers.
Troy and Kay signed their original agreement for a Scooter’s Coffee in Waukee, a suburb of Des Moines in 2019. Kay, a nurse, had been stopping by Scooter’s Coffee every day on her way to work. “They were so friendly. I struck up a friendship with one of the baristas. And I loved their drinks,” Kay said. “My kids started teasing me, ‘Mom, you like Scooter’s Coffee so much you should just buy one.’” Her husband, Troy, saw it as a great opportunity for the two of them to go into business together. “It worked out so well that we decided to try a second location.” They partnered with Stan Eilers, another Scooter’s Coffee franchisee, for this one. “We thought it would be fun to be able to bounce ideas off of each other,” said Kay.
According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60 percent of Americans drank coffee in the past day. That’s more than reported drinking tea, juice, soda, or even tap water! And the number of people who reported buying coffee at a coffee shop or restaurant has risen 20% since January of 2021. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, has boomed during the pandemic, giving customers a way to get a delicious beverage while staying socially distant.
