According to Prudential:

  • Veterans name finding a job as their greatest challenge during their transition back to civilian life
  • One in five veterans surveyed are unemployed and actively seeking employment
  • The majority of veterans feel their military service is respected, but three in five veterans express concern about cultural barriers in the workplace

Not all jobs are accommodating for veterans; often, service members are faced with bosses and coworkers who don’t understand the gravity of their experiences. Finding employment is the first challenge; securing a job you enjoy can seem almost impossible, but there are options.

Is Business Ownership a Viable Option for Veterans?
