What’s the Gratitude Café?

This holiday season, many men and women are stationed overseas serving our country. Those who are at the American base in Afghanistan may know of the Gratitude Café – a coffee shop that’s run on donations from those back in the States.

Donating to the Gratitude Café was a perfect match for Scooter’s Coffee® as we looked for a way to show our thanks for the men and women’s military service.

While supporting the troops is often something that individuals and businesses would like to do, they may not know how to go about it. Fortunately, a natural route presented itself to Scooter’s Coffee. Jamie Wiechman, Director of Marketing at Scooter’s Coffee, expressed it best as she enthusiastically said, “When we heard they needed coffee, we said YES, we can DO something!”

Our volunteers came together to stuff care packages with coffee, creamer and sugar that were sent over to the Gratitude Café. These care boxes are one small thing we can do to show our appreciation for the amazing gift that members of the Armed Forces give to us each day.
