Tracy Bouwens has been considered one of Scooter’s Coffee’s rockstars for some time now. Now, the title is official. Bouwens, the owner of multiple Scooter’s Coffee locations, was just identified by Franchise Business Review as being one of the 2018’s Rockstar Franchisees! Bouwens joins a very exclusive club. She was one of only 50 to receive the designation of Rockstar Franchisee, from a list of more than 28,000 nominees representing more than 300 brands.
Bouwens first joined with Scooter’s Coffee 14 years ago in Omaha. Now, she owns 40 Scooter’s Coffee restaurants in multiple states, with several additional leases signed for sites this year. She says she’s grateful for the recognition through the Rockstar Franchisee award.
“The success I have been able to have over the past 14 years, I attribute in large part to my amazing team,” says Bouwens. “Many of them have been with me for several years and have really developed their business and leadership skills to the point where they are the true ‘rockstars’! Having such a strong group of people on my team is something that I do not take for granted. I enjoy linking arms with them as we continue to grow our company. This year, we will be adding nine new locations to our fleet of stores, and I honestly could not do it without the strength of my leadership team.”
“On behalf of all Scooter’s Coffee employees, I would like to congratulate Tracy for this fantastic honor,” says Mike Rogers, Scooter’s Coffee COO. “Tracy’s knowledge and insight are invaluable resources for the entire Scooter’s Coffee system as she remains a wonderful ambassador throughout Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri where she and her team currently own and operate multiple locations. We have always held Tracy in high regard so it is extremely gratifying to know she is garnering this well-earned praise and recognition.”
Bouwens was nominated as a franchisee who sets an admirable example when it comes to leadership, business acumen, financial and professional success and contributing to the community.
“There are so many fantastic success stories out there; it was painful to narrow our list down to just 50 Rockstar Franchisees,” said Michelle Rowan, President of Franchise Business Review. “There were hundreds of deserving business owners. In the end, we picked 50 individuals that really stood out. Franchisees that not only excel in their businesses but provide strong leadership within their franchise organizations and their local communities.”
“Building a business has not always been easy, but persevering through the hard times is where I have found that the most growth happens, both personally and professionally,” says Bouwens. “I love the challenges that come with business building, growth and strategy. I am excited to continue building my business and I am thankful for the success we have been able to achieve through the Scooter’s Coffee franchise system.”
